My lovely wife Sam (Samantha) Adams, nee Elliott passed away on 9th January 2022. Sam was the love of my life, my best friend and soulmate. We went everywhere together and hardly spent a night apart over 31 years. Sam worked as a barmaid in The Four Horseshoes pub in Nursling, Southampton where I met her. Sam worked for the NHS for most of her working life at both Southampton General and The Royal South Hants hospitals. The emergency services went above and beyond that night and while nothing could be done to save Sam I will never forget the look on the faces of the air ambulance crew when they arrived shortly after Sam had passed. It was as if they had failed but I have emailed them to say otherwise. I found out that it costs in the region of £3000 for each flight they make. On the 8th May 2022 I begin a 5 day canoe trip across Scotland from Fort William to Inverness which is over 60 miles. A big challenge for a 52 year old unfit man! I am raising funds for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance which is a charity and can only fly to help people if they get donations. I have set the fundraiser at £500 on their Facebook page but I really want to raise enough to cover a flight. Please help with this if you can. Thanks in advance, Paul.
